With the tagline “short films for curious minds”, BBC Ideas is a new short-form video and animation platform that hosts fresh, informative, and educational content. We were asked to create an animation that looks at groupthink on social media.
We were supplied with audio, so we focused on creating visuals that would match the style of the voiceover. Our goal was to keep the viewer engaged until the end of the clip, so the final animation is bold and visually appealing, but also sensitive to a serious subject.
The video was shared on the BBC website, where it has clocked up tens of thousands of views for the new BBC Ideas platform.
Flow Creative worked on an animation for BBC Ideas about the nasty side of social media and what can happen when groupthink sets in. They had a very can-do approach and worked quickly and to brief.
